Today I feel overwhelmed to let the woman I love know just how much she means to me.

Ashley, you are the love of my life. Your smile lights up my world and your presence brings be peace and joy. I hope you know that I notice every little thing you do for me. Giving me the pack of cigs while you take the stragglers. Letting me drink your morning coffee. Holding me when I wake up. Hugging me when I need it most. Buying me a small practical item that will make my life easier. Asking me about my mental health. Opening the cupboard while you do the dishes. And so much more.

The way you take care of me is something I’ve never experienced. And the way I want to take care of you in return is also new. It is easy to love you, and put myself aside at times to make sure you are okay. The level of commitment I have in this relationship is unreal. And it’s because you’re perfect. Perfect to me and for me.

Today your anxious. Which makes sense, because you have so much going on. But don’t let that anxiety beat you down. Don’t think that you are a bad partner to me. Because you’re not. If anything, I love you more. There has never been a moment where you being you has scared me. If you’re having a bad day, I love you. If you react from your heart, I love you. If you need me, I love you. If you’re crabby or quiet, I love you. If you’re sad, I love you. If you’re anxious, I love you. When you’re tired of life, I freaking love you.

I want to remind you, that I am in this forever. We have already committed our lives to one another, and I don’t take that lightly. Even though we are not married (yet), you are my wife. You are my person for the rest of my days. I vow to do my best to never take you for granted. To always be your teammate. To stay by your side regardless of what life brings. To create our own family together. To always appreciate your smile with the same admiration I do in the beginning of our relationship. To love you as much as I can. To be your rock when you need me, and to lean on you when the roles are reversed. I vow to be 1000% in this, forever. And I know you feel the same way too.
